For over 20 years, the members of 150th Rifle Division - 756th Rifle Regiment, have been portraying the common Red Army soldier in Southern California. The individuals who make up our group come from all over California, as well as Arizona and Nevada Our unit operates within the California Historical Group or CHG. The CHG is a state recognized 501c3 non-profit historical preservation and educational group which does not condone or promote any political or ideological position or philosophy. We condemn the tragedies and sufferings brought about by the belligerents in WWII and hope to better educate ourselves and others through our organization. Our goal is to promote the knowledge and understanding of the history of World War II from the perspective of the common Red Army soldier. To this end, we educate both the public and our members via publicly attended events as well as at private, blank-fire, period tactical reenactments. All members must be over the age of 18 to attend our private events. Members of the unit learn how the average Red Army soldier lived, trained, and fought in what the Soviets referred to as "The Great Patriotic War." We teach Red Army organization and drill, safe weapon use, marching orders, and Red Army field tactics. We then put these skills "to the test" by fighting period battles with our fellow members of the CHG. If you're looking for fun, excitement, and the ability to learn about history then contact us. We meet several times per year in Central and Southern California. To learn more about upcoming events contact us or visit the CHG website.
Our unit is part of the California Historical Group. A 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the memory of and educating the public on the influential period of time during World War II.
